Large 2.2-Inch Colour LCD with Easy-to-Use Interface
As the first Olympus recorders to boast large colour LCD screens, the DM-5 and DM-3 deliver an easy-to-use interface for accurate arrangement of digital files, meetings and reminder settings. Folders for recording music, podcasts, audio books and pictures are easy to navigate with the DM-5 also offering a Visual Index function so that images can be linked to recorded audio files.
High-Quality Recording In Your Pocket
Both new DM audio devices boast built-in stereo microphones that can record and playback high-quality stereo PCM, MP3 and WMA (Windows Media Audio) files. You can rest assured that all conversations will be captured and played back post meeting or seminar in high-quality audio relieving the worry of missing important information and giving you added flexibility in school, work or play. With infinite listening possibilities, you can easily download an audio book and listen to it at the gym or hear your favourite podcast on your way home.
Voice Recognition with DAISY The DM-5 features Voice Recognition technology so that users can command the device and easily add items to their lists and calendars. The DM-5 is DAISY Player certified by Daisy Consortium meaning it can play digitally recorded material in the popular DAISY talking book format.
Voice Guidance
The DM-5 features a voice confirmation function. When turned on, the function enables the device to communicate with users to navigate folders and various set-up options. The automated voice guides users through the onscreen menus for setting the date, time and other menu selecting modes. It can also confirm folder names as you navigate from one folder to another. This function is especially useful for accessibility through device menus, folders and set-up options and voice recording capture.
Text to Speech
The Text to Speech function in the DM-5 allows you to listen to file information, such as the time and date of recordings as well as accessing keywords you have set to identify specific files. Text files also are compatible with the DM-5 meaning you can listen to your files on the go.
Memory Capacity and Expandability
The DM-5 has 8 gigabytes and DM-3 has 4 gigabytes of internal memory for more than 2000 and 1000 hours of recorded sound respectively. Both audio devices feature a removable microSD media card slot to further expand capacity by up to 16 gigabytes, meaning you can change optional microSD cards easily without having to take the time to download files to a computer to create more space.
Long-Lasting Power with Rechargeable Battery Function The DM-5 and DM-3 operate for more than 20 hours with a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery that can be charged using the AC adapter or by connecting to a computer via USB.
Olympus Sonority Software Compatible with PC or Mac
Enjoy sound clarity with the easy-to-use Olympus Sonority software. Offering the capability to erase noise, adjust sound effects and divide files to suit your needs, the software helps to upload, organise and email audio files with ease. Compatible with any PC or Mac, users can also enjoy DAISY multimedia content as part of this software.
Make the Connection
The USB 2.0 high-speed connection delivers fast downloads and uploads of files to and from the DM-5 using the USB cable. There is no need to download any software since you can record in WMA, MP3 and WAV formats on the new devices.
